About
Dr. Prashant Pratap is a litigation lawyer based in New Delhi, practicing primarily before the Supreme Court of India. He appears regularly across India's leading forums, including the Delhi High Court, National Green Tribunal (NGT), National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC), the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT), and the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT).
Before establishing his independent practice, Dr. Pratap trained at the Chambers of Mr. Shekhar Naphade, Senior Advocate, where he assisted the learned Senior Counsel in several landmark constitutional matters before the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India including the challenge to the EWS reservation (Janhit Abhiyan v. Union of India), the Article 370 proceedings, and SEBI v. Sahara.
His practice today spans constitutional, commercial, civil and criminal litigation, with a particular focus on corporate disputes and insolvency proceedings before the NCLT and NCLAT.
A different path to the Bar
Before the law, Dr. Pratap trained and qualified in dental surgery — a background that shaped a methodical, evidence-first approach to litigation and gives him a practical edge in matters at the intersection of law, science, and regulation.
Beyond the Bar
An avid golfer, Dr. Pratap spends his weekend mornings on the course. He also retains a longstanding interest in finance, technology and gaming.
